Antigua-Barbuda police officer suspended following search in connection with passport fraud

April 15, 2018

ST JOHN’S, Antigua — The Royal Antigua and Barbuda Police Force officer whose home was searched on Friday in connection with an ongoing investigation into allegations of passport fraud has been suspended. An investigation was launched after authorities in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) notified the Passport Office in Antigua that person or persons in St Vincent were found with a copy of the bio-page only of a passport purporting to be of Antigua and Barbuda origin, leading to suspicion that fraudulent Antigua and Barbuda passports are being printed in SVG.
