Construction work is in progress by the Australian Defence Force and the Vanuatu Mobile Force on the Cook & Tiroas Redevelopment Project in Vanuatu.

Stage one of the joint project commenced in February 2021 and includes construction of new living-in accommodation facilities, married quarters, a medical facility, chapel and guardhouse at Cook Barracks in Port Vila. COVID-Safe measures remain front of mind, as work continues.

Upon its completion in 2023 the Cook & Tiroas Redevelopment Project will deliver enhanced, disaster-resilient police infrastructure and facilities in Port Vila and Luganville.
