We simply want to share the good news for US Citizenship with its important updates. As a daughter of immigrants, USCIS Director Jaddou is humbled to be the first woman and first Mexican-American and Chaldean-American to serve as the USCIS director. She was born and raised in Chula Vista, California and her mother came from Mexico and her father came from Iraq. Based on family and personal experience, the USCIS Director knows very well that naturalization is very important especially to immigrant applicants who are pursuing their American dreams.

USCIS Director Jaddou with her Senior Leadership Team is trying their best to improve the large backlogs and long processing times of the agency. This is an issue that the USCIS Director takes seriously and it is critically important to her including her Senior Leadership Team. The agency is addressing the processing delays and according to the USCIS director, “Every applicant who is seeking benefit from USCIS is entitled to a timely decision.”

The USCIS is still committed to empowering lawful permanent residents to pursue citizenship, along with the rights, responsibilities and opportunities that come with it.
