Dominica is unlike any other Caribbean nation. There are few crowds, plenty of eco-lodges and it’s even got its own resident pod of sperm whales.

In early 2019, I arrived on a boat from Saint Lucia, not really knowing what to expect, and it soon became one of my favourite Caribbean Islands.
