Carriacou On Referendum, And Budget

There has been much talk over the disparity in position over issues concerning people on the sister isles relative to issues of national importance.
Of the 22,139 people who voted for the name of state bill, 12,454 voted against the constitutional change, with figures showing that a large percentage are residents of the sister isles.
A move that surprised many, given that the inclusion of the names Carriacou and Petite Martinique on Grenada’s passport was one that residents clamoured for in the past.
Now a new issue has surfaced — that no mention was made of the sister isles in the recently delivered Throne Speech by Governor General Dame Cecile La Grenade.
On Wednesday, a political figure from the sister isles responded to the issue.
