“Reject Modernity, Embrace Masculinity” is an ongoing trend with a very specific message. In this video, I explain both concepts from an analytic standpoint. Then, I question whether the new conception of masculinity actually rejects modernity or not. Sometimes, we don’t realize that even though one might oppose something, it could still operate within the very paradigm that it attempts to reject. Considering that a cultural paradigm is something that one generally presupposes without much consideration, it could leave us in a blind state.
\nA wise philosopher once said: “The phenomenon of ideology is built in such a way that its effect depends not on how much you share this ideology, how much you believe in it, but on how much the internal possibility of a different way of thinking is destroyed, i.e., the field of language is broken.”<\/p>\n
P.S. I want to be clear about two things: physical exercise and healthy food habits are absolutely necessary for one’s well-being, which is extremely important to me, as I would not imagine my life without them. Second, I endorse the conception of masculinity that has an inner reality, transpersonal values, and an end-goal.<\/p>\n
