Maybe you\u2019ve considered retiring there?<\/p>\n<p>In this video, Nicolas Monnier and Francisco Amaral explain how getting a visa for Portugal is easier and more affordable than you&#8217;d imagine<\/p>\n<p>WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW<br \/>\nPortugal is located in southern Europe, next to Spain, and is known for its beautiful beaches <\/p>\n<p>It has a warm dry Mediterranean climate with an average of 300 days of sun every year and winters temperatures are rarely under 50 degrees <\/p>\n<p>The population is about 10 million, with 1 million living in the capital city Lisbon and many people living by the coast<\/p>\n<p>It takes about 90 minutes to drive east to west and about 6 hours north to south<\/p>\n<p>Portugal has excellent public and private healthcare and well-rated school systems<\/p>\n<p>Everyone learns English from 1st grade, so even in rural areas most people speak English <\/p>\n<p>Francisco and Nicolas discuss the two kinds of visas for Portugal<\/p>\n<p>The D7 Visa is an excellent choice if:<br \/>\n\u2714\ufe0f You want to settle or retire in Portugal<br \/>\n\u2714\ufe0f You have stable recurring income<br \/>\n\u2714\ufe0f You\u2019re able to work remotely for an employer outside of Portugal<br \/>\n\u2714\ufe0f The D7 is a long-term residency visa that can lead to eventual permanent residency and\/or citizenship.
