When Christopher Columbus saw it, he said that the island reminded him of snow-capped mountain ranges. Therefore, he named the island “Our Lady of the Snow” (Nuestra Señora de las Nieves). Columbus said that it looked like there was snow on the tops of the hills. And then the name was shortened and left simply – Nevis. This is how the island of Nevis got its name.

They (the islands) are very different. I’ve lived on both islands. I know it may sound very strange to you, but St. Kitts is kind of a lively island. And Nevis is a calm, quiet island. And when guests from all over the world come here, it just makes people laugh. Because it seems strange when we talk about St. Kitts as a busy island.

Find out more information firsthand from the video!

00:00 – Intro

01:30 – What are the main differences between the islands of St. Kitts and Nevis

03:37 – How Safe is St. Kitts and Nevis

04:23 – Is there a difference in prices for tourists and locals

05:28 – State of healthcare in St. Kitts and Nevis

05:58 – How frequent are hurricanes in St. Kitts and Nevis

More information in the video!

Get a consultation –
Online calculator of passport programs –

Subscribe to our channel, hit the notification bell to never miss an update!
