President Biden plans to Simplify Green card and US Visa processing, aiming to expand legal immigration, so it will be far easier to immigrate to the United States. There will be shorter and simpler forms. applicants will have to jump through fewer immigration security hoops, irrespective of whether its visas, green cards or citizenship process. Thus increasing opportunities to join their families, and easily secure work visas. <\/p>\n

The COVID-19 pandemic has effectively shut down immigration to the U.S. from abroad. Due to previous administrations Draconian immigration policies, added with covid-19 resulted in Immigrant and non immigrant visa issuances drop to extremely low levels.
\nEmployment Greencard approval time doubled. U Visa Approval has gone from five months to roughly five years. <\/p>\n

For Immigrant Visa Backlog: NVC is holding on to 481,965 qualified visa applications, that are pending the scheduling of an interview. <\/p>\n

The backlog for citizenship applications is up 80 percent since 2014, to more than 900,000 cases.
\nsimilarly for NonImmigrant Visa: Before the pandemic, an average of over 721,000 nonimmigrant visas were issued each month worldwide. but now, fewer than 126,000 nonimmigrant visas are issued, which is 83% reduction in visa issuance. <\/p>\n

The entire immigration system is funded by the applicant fee. so reduction in applicants impacted the overall immigration agencies funding. <\/p>\n

A 46-page, 7 section draft blueprint titled, \u201cD.H.S. Plan to Restore Trust in Our Legal Immigration System,\u201d, maps out the Biden administration\u2019s plans to significantly expand the legal immigration system, lists scores of initiatives intended to reopen the country to more immigrants, along with reversing the damage done by former President Donald J. Trump. <\/p>\n

Biden Administration’s plan includes, interview waiver and visa waiver options, alternative solution to speed up visa issuances abroad through simplified forms, reduced fee and less complex immigration system. <\/p>\n

We will also discuss about EAGLE Act of 2021, Equal Access to Greencards for Legal Employment. The EAGLE Act is the only immigration bill that fixes the employment-based immigration system while protecting American workers. The old S386 or HR1044 (now HR3648)<\/p>\n
