The employment-based category is divided into several subcategories.<\/p>\n

EB1, EB2, EB3, and EB4<\/p>\n

EB1: The EB-1 category is composed of three sub-groups:<\/p>\n

Persons of Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Professors and Researchers and Multinational Executives and Managers<\/p>\n

EB2: EB-2 category must have a labor certification (commonly known as PERM) approved by the Department of Labor.<\/p>\n

EB3: EB-3 category applicants must be sponsored by their prospective employers in all circumstances. There are three subgroups:<\/p>\n

Professionals with a baccalaureate degree.
\nSkilled workers
\nUnskilled workers<\/p>\n

EB4: EB-4 Green Card category is reserved for a broad group of special immigrants that most commonly includes religious workers<\/p>\n

EB5: EB-5 category is for Investors<\/p>\n
