Hey all. Before we get into this video about my “expat” experience as an American living in Saint Lucia… NO this does not mean I am not Saint Lucian, but I am St. Lucian by CHOICE as I was not born here. <\/p>\n

But yes, I am 100% a SAINT LUCIAN CITIZEN. OK great, moving on.<\/p>\n

However, as I explained, because I spent so much time away from the country, specifically in my teen years and early adulthood, I felt I could speak to the ‘expat’ experience having an understanding of American culture. COOL. <\/p>\n

I was inspired to do this video by a YouTuber I enjoy called @YsisLorenna, who you should definitely follow especially if you’re a mom. She doesn’t know me but I like her content and want to give credit where it’s due.<\/p>\n

However, I couldn’t find her EXACT expat tag online so I used this one linked here:<\/p>\n

Also, being fully aware of the coded language between expat\/immigrant… I actually consider West Indian “immigrants” to the US\/UK to be expats. So if you live that life and wanna make a video like this and tag me, that would be fun too. <\/p>\n
