Though there’s been a delay for this update to come out, there’s been some changes here and there. EB-1 is now retrogressed for China and India. However, there has been no changes for EB-2, EB-3 and EB-5 visa preferences. But there’s still a lot to unpack from January 2023 Visa Bulletin. We will be diving deeper into some of the key changes and what it means for families for H1-B and EB-5 investors. The Visa Bulletin shows severe retrogression for EB-2 categories for China and India still. EB-5 visa is one of the only clear paths forward to a greencard when looking at the employment based categories. As far as Visa Bulletin predictions, not much predicting was needed as not many things as changed. Many Chinese investors hoping to use EB-1 category were disappointed to see new retrogression but that was the only major change to visa backlogs.
