Prior to Brexit, Britons could live and work in Spain as former EEA nationals. However, given the country’s vote to leave the EU, UK nationals must now apply for Spanish tourist visas, just like any other non-EEA national.
Both the Spanish Golden Visa Program and the Non Lucrative Visa Program allow British nationals to earn Spanish residency and, after ten years, a road to eventual Spanish citizenship.
