Saying I’m a new citizen already after I get my yellow slip, does it have to be renewed? How do I prove my 60 days of residence since there’s no border control for new citizens?

MARY TRIMITHIOTOU:
Yeah. Yeah. It’s true. With no control yet, we don’t get stamped on the passport anymore. But yeah, some advice would be to save your travel ticket passes and be able to have your expenses, let’s say inside. So you need to have some sort of evidence that you have spent 60 days in Cyprus.

DERREN JOSEPH:
Okay. So, so this, so, so that I understand this, so this tied back to you can create your tax residents in Cyprus by spending 60 days is that.

MARY TRIMITHIOTOU:
Yeah, you can be a Cyprus resident under the 60-day rule, but there are many conditions that need to exist altogether provided you’re not residing in another country for 83 days and you’re not resident in another country and you have an office like your director, or you are employed and you have also a permanent resident. So the conditions for the 60-day rule are quite heavy, but yeah.

DERREN JOSEPH:
Yeah. Okay. Understood. Okay. I hope that answers his question. Does the yellow, does the yellow slip need renewal?

MARY TRIMITHIOTOU:
Yes. Yes. Yes. It needs to be.
