The Biden administration recently released its annual funding proposal for 2023, which could greatly benefit the immigration sector. Interestingly it has a Huge Increase for Immigration funding after many years, This speeds up processing times for Green Card, Visa and E.A.D. This funding also aims to reduce backlogs of various immigration cases.

Yes!, you heard it right, Biden Requests $56.7 Billion for Department of Homeland Security in 2023 Budget. $275 million for USCIS. It is 700% funding increase for U.S.C.I.S and an 80% increase for other immigration matters.

USCIS updated a bunch of policies

The dramatic increase in processing times occurred even though USCIS experienced a ten percent drop in cases received during pandemic.
⦁ Processing times for all I-539 applications, to change or extend status increased 250%.
⦁ Processing times for I-485 applications, Employment as well as family-based adjustment of status increased 75%.
⦁ Processing times for naturalization applications (N-400), increased 50%.
⦁ Improved i-485, i-140 and i-130 Processing times for employment and family.

speedier movement expected in 2023 for f1, f2a, f2b, f3, f4 categories if the budget for 2023 is passed.
