US Visa updates from the embassy. USCIS modified its Policy Manual to allow some family-based immigrants to skip Green Card interviews. Unofficially, they waived employment green card interviews. DHS and State Department also announced interview waivers for Employment, Tourist, and Student Visas at US consulates.
To decrease the large visa backlog in Embassies and Consulates abroad, the Department of State is waiving in-person interviews for some immigrant Visa applicants.
