Hope you’re having an awesome Friday! I am back in Santiago de los Caballeros, after a month in Arizona. I wanted to put together some of the habits that I have found myself pick up after living in the Dominican Republic for about a year and a half now. These are little things that I do alllll the time now, even when I am back in the United States visiting! I guess I’m turning a bit Dominican! hahah, I know I forgot a bunch of them, but here are the first ones that came to mind…otherwise I would be rambling for an hour. It’s so interesting to me how quickly people can adapt to other cultures and pick up these little habits and customs.. and how unique each one is! What did I miss? What changed when you moved somewhere?

If this is the first video of mine you’re watching: Hi! My name is Mills and I moved from New York to the Dominican Republic alone in July 2017! I lived in Jarabacoa for a year to teach abroad, and then spent another year in Santiago de los Caballeros. I started this channel to document my experiences living abroad and as an American, female expat overseas, and would love for you to subscribe to follow my journey! My Dominican husband, Christopher and I have just moved to Phoenix, Arizona after completing our K-1 visa journey, just had a baby, and are looking forward to this new adventure, and sharing it with you along the way!
