UK Tax Independence Residency Day – Wednesday Webinar

We have discussed that 4th July is half way through the calendar tax year.

Countries like the UK stick to the Julian calendar New Year for tax residence.

The UK tax year starts 6th of April so that the first week of October is the half year when tax residence or tax independence day is achieved.

Expats living in the UK since April acquire tax residence for the current year, expats living & working abroad can confirm UK tax independence from this week.

In this weeks stream:
• Do split year rules apply?
• What about tie breakers?
• What happens when businesses and families are across borders?
• Do I need tax returns in more than one country ?
• Can I use 2 countries tax allowance?
