
The Australian Defence Force has joined in the celebrations for the 40th Anniversary of Vanuatu’s Independence from the air and on the sea as part of a rich and vibrant national day across the archipelago.
More than 240 Royal Australian Navy and embarked Army personnel lined the decks of Her Majesty’s Australian Ships Choules and Huon at anchor in Port Vila as two Royal Australian Air Force FA-18 Super Hornets gave a spectacular flyover for the thousands of dignitaries and citizens watching on.
