The James A. Haley VA (Tampa V) is a quaternary clinical referral facility in Tampa that services a four-county area of west central Florida. The facility is comprised of a 566-bed medical center, which includes a 415-bed hospital with a level 1 poly-trauma center; acute psychiatry; a spinal cord injury center; a community living center; a domiciliary as well as six Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). In Fiscal Year 2018, the Hospital served 95,000 Veterans with 1.4 million outpatient visits, and 11,000 inpatient admissions. Our Pharmacy Department plays an integral role in providing patient care services with over 75 clinical pharmacy specialists and 65 clinical pharmacists in a variety of specialties. We offer ASHP-accredited PGY-1 and PGY2 residency programs in Infectious Diseases and Ambulatory Care.
