Im Dezember 2020 hat die Berliner Musikerin Discovery Zone als Residentin des Musicboard Berlin zwei Wochen in Le Plan bei Paris verbracht. Die Multimediakünstlerin, die im Juni 2020 ihr Debütalbum ›Remote Control‹ veröffentlichte, erforscht die Verbindung zwischen Videokunst, Performance und Popmusik. Vor Ort hat sie eine Live-Show mit Visuals erarbeitet, die zum Ende der Residenz als Live-Stream in Le Plan aufgeführt wurde. Das zusätzliche Musiker:innen Coaching durch Le Studio des Variétés (SDV) in Paris nutzte Discovery Zone, um ihre Vocal und Ableton Live Skills weiterzuentwickeln.
Die Auslandsresidenz in Ris-Orangis bei Paris wird jedes Jahr durch das Musicboard Berlin in Kooperation mit Le Plan an eine:n Berliner Musiker:in oder ein Duo aus dem popkulturellen Bereich vergeben. In der renommierten französischen Konzertstätte Le Plan können die Resident:innen die hauseigenen Studios und Konzertsäle nutzen, um konzentriert an selbstgewählten technischen oder künstlerischen Vorhaben zu arbeiten.
Das Residenzprogramm des Musicboards bietet In- und Auslandsresidenzen für Berliner und internationale Musiker:innen und vernetzt über ein Dutzend Residenzorte in der ganzen Welt.

In December 2020, Berlin-based musician Discovery Zone spent two weeks as a resident of Musicboard Berlin at Le Plan near Paris. The multimedia artist, who released her debut album ›Remote Control‹ in June 2020, explores the connection between video art, performance and pop music. At the end of the residency, she live streamed a multimedia show, showcasing the results of her work at Le Plan. Disocvery Zone used the additional musician coaching from Le Studio des Variétés (SDV) in Paris to further develop her vocal and Ableton Live skills. The international residency in Ris-Orangis near Paris is awarded annually by Musicboard Berlin in cooperation with Le Plan to a Berlin pop musician or duo. The residents can use the in-house studios and concert halls at Le Plan, a renowned French live music venue, to work in a concentrated manner on technical or artistic projects of their own choosing. The Musicboard’s residency program offers residencies for Berlin-based and international musicians both in Germany and abroad. It connects more than a dozen different residency locations around the world.
