Some good news for India-Americans is on its way. US Presidential advisory commission has unanimously voted to recommend President Joe Biden to process all applications for green cards or permanent residency within six months. If adopted, then it will be huge relief for tens of thousands of Indian-Americans who have been waiting for a long time, some even decades for a Green Card. The panel has also recommended to review the lengthy procedure and the cycle of permanent residency status for immigrants. The proposal in this regard was moved by eminent Indian-American community leader Ajay Jain Bhutoria, which was later backed by all 25 members of the committee. All eyes now on Biden’s decision.
