Now, let’s get into the bulletin and find out what is the latest happening around the US Immigration.
#1. Immigration Judges Complete Record Number of Cases.
According to a latest report, immigration judges have increased case completions by a record 50% since 2019.
By the conclusion of this fiscal year, judges will have completed at least 400,000 court cases after closing more than 375,000 cases in previous months.
More judges and cases being rejected because DHS neglected to provide the proper documents to the court are two factors contributing to the rise.

#2 Biden Administration Extends Temporary Protected Status for Burma.
The Temporary Protected Status for Burma has been extended by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for an additional 18 months, from November 26, 2022, to May 25, 2024. Additionally, DHS changed Burma’s TPS designation, making all Burmese citizens living in the United States eligible as of September 25, 2022.

More than 2,000 additional Burmese citizens are now qualified to apply for TPS as a result of Burma’s redesignation, and 970 of them will currently benefit from the extended TPS designation.
