Or, they may also have an existing bank account, securities, and bonds. “Source of Funds” means you must show documentation of how you received the funds and provide a traceable record from the point of origin.

USCIS requires EB5 investors to provide a legitimate electronic or paper trail proving the funds were received are from a legal source.

There must be a legal and traceable account of the EB5 investment funds. Traceable means providing documentation on how the investment funds were acquired and how they will be issued to the business in the USA. In certain countries, there have been capital outflow restrictions. In these cases, an EB5 investor would have to make multiple transactions until the full amount is transferred to the new business in the USA.
