You will need to present your birth certificate (apostilled or legalized), a national background check issued by your country’s national authority, and your marriage certificate (if applicable). On January 1st, 2021, a new resolution was issued for people who couldn’t finish their application process when Costa Rica closed immigration processes on March 17, 2020. This decree extends the validity of their documents until July 31, 2021.
