Most people believe the only way to bring relatives to the U.S. is through a family-based petition. That is not correct. Family members can petition other family members through an employment-based petition. Our office has handled several such cases, including: a sister petitioning her younger brother as her office manager; an aunt petitioning a niece as a caregiver in her care home; and a niece petitioning her aunt as a housekeeper.
