Taiwan's Foreign Minister Arrives St. Kitts Nevis

Basseterre, St. Kitts (February 2, 2013) — Taiwan’s Foreign Affairs Minister David Yung-lo Lin, who is leading an official delegation, arrived the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis at the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport on Saturday night. Minister Lin was welcomed by the Honourable Patrice Nisbett, Chief Secretary Elvis Newton, Cabinet Secretary J. Llewellyn Edmeade, and Taiwan’s resident Ambassador Miguel Tsao. Staff of the Taiwanese Embassy were also at the airport to welcome their Minister. Minister Lin spoke for a few minutes with Minister Nisbett, Mr. Newton and Mr. Edmeade before departing to his hotel.

The delegation is scheduled to visit St. Kitts and Nevis from 2nd to 4th February and the Taiwan Minister of Foreign Affairs will hold talks with St. Kitts and Nevis’ Governor General His Excellency Sir Edmund Wickham; Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas and the new Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Taiwan Foreign minister will also visit St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Haiti.
