Can I get dual citizenship of the Philippines and USA?! When I went to the Philippine Consulate General in New York City last week to learn more about the upcoming Philippines Presidential Elections on May 9, 2022, I learned that I could possibly become a Dual Citizen of the Philippines and USA under the Dual Citizenship Law R.A. 9225. Even though the process is confusing and there are conditions that will make it challenging for me to become a dual citizen of the Philippines and the USA (I’m over 18 and USA-born to Naturalized Filipinos), I found enough answers to move forward with my application. Even if it means I have to travel to the Philippines to make it happen!
