To achieve a sustainable development is imperative to stimulate a global critical thinking, in a multilateral and multidisciplinary approach. Education, and in particular, legal education, can be a levelling and enhancing tool.
The academic setting is ideal to raise a greater understanding of the issues that currently undermine human rights, the rule of law, justice, and democracy. Corruption is one of these issues. The need for an open and plural education approach that fosters a sense of global citizenship around universal values is imperative not only to address corruption but, also, to understand the phenomenon, its consequences, and its causes.
Through examples and involving the participants, it is intended to develop an action to share experiences and knowledge, on a national level but also – since the phenomenon is global – on an international scale, in order to develop informed solutions to this complex issue, through dialogue with different actors, private and public.
