Kaise Mila America ka Green Card (My Immigration Journey) #GreenCard #USA #India #Immigration

Welcome to Meet Praneet. I am Praneet and am a Computational Biologist / Bioinformatician currently residing in United States. I am here to make videos on immigration, travel, life is US and experiences. Please show your love and support.

In this video, I have shared my immigration journey with all of you.

I fist came to United States in 2012 on F1 VISA to pursue my Masters in Bioinformatics from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). During the Masters, I got an excellent opportunity (internship) to work as an intern in Eli Lilly for 6 months. I completed my Masters in 2015 and after that I started working full-time for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center on Optional Practical Training (OPT).

In 2017, I requested Cincinnati Children’s to file my H1-B VISA and they accepted my request and filed for the VISA and got approved in 2017 October. In November 2017, I went to India to get my H1-B Stamping done.

In 2019, I started my immigration journey and contacted Ellis Porter ( to help me evaluate my academic profile and based on my profile they suggested to file EB2-NIW (National Interest Waiver). At that time, I had 11 research papers and 150 citations. My EB2-NIW I-140 petition was filed in October 2019 and was approved in April 2020.

In 2021, I decided to file green card using EB-1-B (Outstanding researchers and professors) [ after getting my profile evaluated by Frost Brown Todd [Cincinnati Children’s Associated Law firm]. At the of filing EB1-B I had 24 research publications, 600+ citations, 5 peer reviews and 4 expert letters.
My EB1-B I-140 petition was filed in November 2021 and was approved on 30th November 2021.

In 2022 February, I filed my I-485 (Adjustment of Status) application with USCIS and I got approved in 65 days in April 2022.

I wish you all the very best if you are in the same process.
