In 2021, we asked our 30 by 30 network to nominate EDI Champions in engineering workplaces. On the final day of the 2022 30 by 30 Conference, four of these nominees – Mairim Neves, Shohreh Roshani, Nicole Wilson, and Josh Workman representing Stantec – joined us for a panel discussion on the challenges, triumphs, and best practices of EDI champions who are changing the culture of their workplaces.

The 30 by 30 conference wrapped up with a workshop on self-care for champions led by Gayathri Shukla of Campfire Kinship. This interactive session was an opportunity for self-reflection, learning about managing burnout, and self-care when your work is in the service of others.
