At IFC, we recognize that Pacific Islands nations such as Vanuatu are among those that tend to pollute less and are responsible for fewer emissions yet experience some of the worst effects from #climatechange including more extreme weather events and the destruction of environments on which their livelihoods depend.

This video shows just how devastating climate change already is for people in the Pacific region.

But there are opportunities to take climate action. And that’s why we work with the governments of the Pacific region and development partners such as the Australian and New Zealand governments to create enabling environments to create new, sustainable, and green markets across developing countries that encourage private investment and expand access to private capital and green finance.
