Former Minister of National Security Gary Griffith has slammed those who are critical of the Prime Minister’s announcement offering temporary residency for Dominicans.

He said it is unfortunate there are some attempting to politicise the call, and rubbished talk that it was a move to voter pad elections.

Mr. Griffith likened the offer to similar aid efforts by the previous administration.

He said the presence of Dominican residents for a six-month period would not have a significant effect on the economy.
