Number 10 – Cambodia
Unlike its eastern neighbor Thailand, Cambodia grants citizenship as well as residence. It does, however, charge roughly 15 times the price of Thailand’s program. Moreover, Cambodia provides two routes to citizenship via investment:
Firstly, donate 1 billion Cambodian riels to the Cambodian authorities.
Number 9 – Vanuatu
Vanuatu is an archipelago republic in vast Oceania, consisting of around 80 islands scattered over 800 miles. If you decide to acquire citizenship here, you’ll have plenty of beaches to select from. The Vanuatu Contribution Programme charges $155,000, which includes a $130,000 payment and a $25,000 “processing charge.”
Number 8 – Grenada
Grenada, a group of Caribbean islands centered on the main “Spice Isle” known after its nutmeg plantations, has equal citizenship by investment program. You can invest in one of two ways:
Either donate $150,000 to the Grenada National Transformation Fund or a Purchase of a minimum of $350,000 in real estate. The Grenada passport bears considerable weight, but not as much as a Saint Kitts & Nevis passport.
Number 7 – Saint Kitts & Nevis
Saint Kitts and Nevis, another Caribbean country that offers citizenship by investment, recently changed its program to attract more international money following a particularly costly sequence of storms. After going out of its way to negotiate more accords in recent years, Saint Kitts and Nevis’s passports currently allow visa-free travel to 154 countries.
Number 6 – Antigua & Barbuda
This tiny country, like Saint Lucia, has three options for acquiring citizenship:
A $100,000 payment to the National Development Fund of the country
An investment of $400,000 in real estate.
A $400,000 investment in a freshly formed local company
Number 5 – Saint Lucia
Saint Lucia, another beautiful island location where you may acquire citizenship at a low cost, has a program similar to Dominica’s. There are three options for acquiring citizenship:
A non-refundable $100,000 payment to the Saint Lucia National Economic Fund.
A $300,000 investment in a real estate development project has been approved.
A $3.5 million investment in a business initiative has been approved.
Number 4 – Dominica
Dominica is the first Caribbean country to provide privileged residence or citizenship by investments. Full citizenship is available for as little as $100,000 in this island republic.
A $100,000 “contribution” to the government-run National Transformation Fund entitles you to full citizenship. For a $200,000 contribution, a family of four may obtain citizenship.
Number 3 – Latvia
Latvia, unlike Montenegro, is a member of the EU and the Schengen Area. A residence visa entitles you to visa-free travel to other Schengen Area destinations. Although it is more of a marketing ploy than a genuine possibility, Latvia also provides a road to citizenship.
Number 2 – Montenegro
While Montenegro does not have an exclusive residency program, anybody who owns residential property can apply for a permanent visa. That means you could hypothetically buy a cheap property for $50,000 and acquire a residence in this lovely Balkan country. It does, however, have a few drawbacks
Number 1 – Thailand
With 500,000 Thai baht, you may purchase a five-year resident visa in Thailand. Given Thailand’s good quality of life and low cost of living, that’s a deal. Thailand has seven different elite residency choices, each with its costs, length, and privileges. Couples receive a discount, but each dependant costs an additional 300,000 baht.
