
You’ve applied for optometry residency, and now you got offered some residency interviews? Nervous? Don’t worry, I got your back, let me go over everything I’ve learned from my EIGHT residency interviews.
Yes, you heard me correctly! I applied to 8 sites – which is in my opinion too many- but as a result I got interviewed 8 times which was actually a pretty interesting experience because it gave me the chance to get really good at interviews. And I know this is something that we’ve all had to do at some point, for things like college interviews, optometry school interviews, or scholarship interviews…. BUT chances are it’s been 4 years since your last interview, so you may be a little rusty……. AND a residency interview is a little bit unique.
Before we start though, it is important to remember that if you got selected for an interview, that means the site coordinator IS interested in you, so try to think of that as a positive instead of getting nervous. And now, on to the video:
