How to Renew Passport for OFW’s – Fast & Easy
As you all know, our passport have a validity of 5 years. So, If your passport is expiring very soon then you must renew it before you get denied to travel. It is recommended that you renew your passport 1 year in advance before it expires to avoid any trouble in the future. Huag mo na antaying 6 months before the expiration bago ka mag renew kasi baka hindi sia maka abot kapag mag ta travel ka.
OFW’s are not required to make an online appointment. In fact, you may walk-in and you will be assisted. If you are going back home to the Philippines for vacation or if you are already there and you plan to renew your passport then I hope this will help you.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Personal appearance
Duly accomplished application form – may be downloaded from the DFA website, www.dfa.gov.ph
Most recent expiring or expired passport
Acceptable IDs at least one (1)
Other Supporting Document as necessary such as OEC, Valid Employment Contract
LIST OF ACCEPTABLE IDS (At least 1 of the following):
Government-issued picture IDs such as the following:
Digitized SSS ID
Driver’s License
GSIS E-card
PRC ID
IBP ID
OWWA ID
Digitized BIR ID
Senior Citizen’s ID
Unified Multi-Purpose ID
Voter’s ID
Reminders:
Earrings and contact lenses are not allowed during data capturing. Smiling with visible teeth is also not allowed.
Check all the data in the computer monitor and in the Enrolment Certificate before signing it.
Processing Fee for Passport Renewal
Regular Processing (15 working days): P950.00
Express Processing (7 working days): P1,200.00
