Session: Integration, social cohesion, acquiring Greek citizenship: an assessment of recent legislative developments

Mr. Baltsiotis, Special Secretary for Citizenship, Ministry of Interior, focused on different approaches to Citizenship that have been examined in Europe for the past years and attempted to analyze the legal developments since 2010 in relation to Citizenship application process. He presented the main difficulties in relation to the process for Citizenship, mainly the problems caused by the considerable delays and the different institutional approaches to applicants in the peripheral level.
