Today we’re finally bringing some good news from Malaysia!
As you’re probably familiar, Malaysia was quite closed to foreigners in the past 2 years – and they really ruined some of the most popular programs for foreigners, such as MM2H – Malaysia my second home.
In short, they didn’t want you there.
However, things are turning around for the better.
It seems that we can have high hopes for Malaysia in the future!
In the past, Malaysia brought taxation of foreign income, and this wasn’t received well by foreigners and expats. Traditionally, this would be unthinkable and naturally people didn’t like paying taxes on their foreign income.
They also messed up Labuan scheme, where you could live in Malaysia and only pay 3% taxes.
Luckily, both of these 2 problems got resolved.
Malaysia announced that they will not tax your forieng sourced income, until at least 2026.
Also, Labuan option seems to be resumed – this is what most expat entrepreneurs were counting on.
All these are very good news for us, and it gives us hope that we can count on Malaysia as a desirable destination in the near future!
