2021 CFC Inaugural Citizenship Awards

The Canadian Federation For Citizenship (CFC) will broadcast the 2021 Inaugural Citizenship Awards virtually on December 23, 2021. This is a momentous year for the Province of British Columbia as it marked its 150th Anniversary since joining Confederation.

Residents of British Columbia who have been demonstrating citizenship and carrying out essential work to ensure Canada’s progress were nominated by their communities. Keynote speaker and former Citizenship Judge Gerald Pash from Victoria, BC will address the audience including the outstanding recipients.

Dr. Marie Delorme, CFC Advisory Board Member and Recipient of the Order of Canada will lead the recently revised Citizenship Oath which now refers to Aboriginal and Treaty Rights of Indigenous peoples in Canada.

CFC hosts citizenship reaffirmation ceremonies and leadership symposiums in partnership with leaders from various sectors. Through our programs, we aspire to create dialogue on what it means to be an active citizen and assume homegrown leadership roles in one’s community.
