Russian President Vladimir Putin presented a Russian passport to the US actor Steven Seagal at a ceremony at the Kremlin in Moscow on Friday.

He congratulated Seagal and expressed the “hope that this is another, albeit small, gesture and it might be a sign of the gradual normalization of relations between our countries”. Seagal replied that he is “very honoured to be here and so happy to see” the president, after being granted Russian citizenship on November 3.
