I had a rare opportunity to cross the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic and witnessed the border situation. This video recounts my interesting personal experience while on a bus road trip from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Watch this video before your road trip between the two countries on the Hispaniola Island. This video will show you what to expect at the border of Haiti and Dominican Republic.

As I mentioned, while visiting Dominican Republic, I decided to hit one bird with two stones and visit Haiti as well, which shares an island with Dominican Republic. The Hispaniola Island is one side, Dominican Republic and the other side, Haiti. Hope you enjoy the video.

– A person of African origin, a proud African, who appreciates and has embraces the Dominican Republic because they grew up around Dominicans and has traveled extensively to Dominican Republic for business and pleasure, and is therefore very immersed in the culture, through music, dance, travels, family, friendships etc. This person is often mistaken for being a Dominican in certain situations. This person feels like they were Dominican in their previous life. This person LOVES the African influence prevalent in the Dominican Republic. This person is me.
