Hi! My name is Rajan Nazran, and I am an Explorer. For over 15 years I have travelled to nearly 60 countries plunging into the human experience behind identity, taking a second look at the countries we now call home and tackling the big conversations. And yes that is me dancing, I have the moves like Jagtar.
As part of my award-winning podcast that explores our 50 shades of brown, I will be mind-diving back in to some of my favourite locations and haunts, with a host of local celebrities and the people you need to know.

So lets talk Saint Lucia – a country that I spent over 4 months in, stayed apparently in Amy Winehouse’s rental, made incredible friends, experienced side-splitting laughter with locals, went head to head with the then PM and uncovered a beautiful illusion of a destination I believe is far more enchanting than most adverts strive to give credit to.
Saint Lucia is not in it’s pretty images; its real experience is found in its people, which include a remarkable community of people of Indian origin who have called the island home since the 1800s through to new arrivals who have decided what their choice of lived-currency needs to be – freedom.
So join me as we re-discover an island that will nestle itself into your curiosity for a range of reasons.
Exclusively on the Global Indian Series.
Special thank you to a great friend and brilliant musician Arthur Allain for allowing me to use his music – Dat Beat.
