In this video, students, faculty and counselors speak about the learner-centric education offered at Manipal’s AUA, College of Medicine, and also the reasons why it is one of the top Caribbean medical schools.
Student: “I chose AUA because they took into consideration more than just my test scores. They cared about my drive and my passion to pursue a career in medicine and become a more thoughtful and more caring physician.
Speaking about the curriculum Dr. Robert Mallin, MD. University Provost says, “The structure of the new curriculum is different than what we’ve been doing in the past. We find that lecturers are not the most efficient and best way to train medical students to become physicians.

Jagbir Nagra, Former Executive Dean, Basic Sciences shares his thoughts about the infrastructure offered at the AUA. “With regard to the infrastructure, it’s world-class, facilities are excellent, technology especially the ones that we use in medical education it’s the best I’ve seen anywhere in any of the other campuses that I have served and is comparable to the best.”
Sir Vivian Richards, Former Cricketer, West Indies, and Brand Ambassador of AUA speaks about the safety in the Island of Antigua. “We are a safe Island. I’ve been a frequent traveler around the world and I’ve seen issues been around. Issues at times, but I’m coming from this small, small little paradise as we call it. It is very much safe, a safe environment.”
