Bristol City’s Kasey Palmer reveals World Cup ambition as Nahki Wells also eyes Qatar 2022
* Bristol City duo Kasey Palmer and Nahki Wells are wanted men. The pair are two of the Robins who have most gained form since the appointment of Nigel Pearson at Ashton Gate, and their international prospects are growing.
Palmer hit a goal and assist against Birmingham City and was the undoubted man of the match up at St Andrew’s and has found some of his best form in a red shirt.
Wells, meanwhile, has netted two goals and an assist in the five games since Pearson was officially named as the new manager at Ashton Gate, and both players have World Cup 2022 in their sights.
Palmer is currently applying for a Jamaica passport after taking a call from the Reggae Boyz last week to join Theodore Whitmore’s squad.
There has been interest in the former Chelsea player for some time and Palmer has now decided to join up with the Jamaica national team after previously playing for England at U17, U18, U20 and U21 level.
The 24-year-old made his debut for England Under-17s on 8 February 2013, playing for seven minutes in a 2–1 defeat to Germany, and a 3-0 win for the England U21s against Latvia, that also included a goal for Palmer and a Tammy Abraham Goal may be his last involvement for the Three Lions.
