Local folk tales say the bridge was built
by a man who made a pact with the devil,
in exchange for the first soul to cross
after completion.
Fortunately, his little dog ran ahead
and reached the other side first.
The dog vanished and was never seen
again.
SInce then it has been called
Devil’s Bridge.
