João Nogueira Santos is the founder of the civilian movement “Adere, vota e intervém dentro de um partido. Cidadania para a mudança” (Citizen for change), that promotes people participation within political parties. João was also gave a talk on Citizen for Change (in Portuguese) at TEDxLisboa in 2010. At TEDxEdges, João talked about Portugal great misunderstanding about the idea of ​​citizens’ political participation, and why it’s contributing to the decline of our Democracy, and what must change.
