Grenada is a Caribbean country, also known as the “Spice Island” and part of the Caribbean community or Caricom. Their economy depends on tourism and agriculture. Ever since they started the Grenada Citizenship by Investment program in August 2013, it became the strongest CBI program in the Caribbean.
There are 2 different routes that the program offers:
• National Transformation Route:
It is a contribution to the country’s economy that depends as mentioned before on tourism mostly; the money will be invested by the government into schools, hospitals and roads as well. Note that the contribution starts at USD 150,000 for a single applicant and USD 200,000 for a family of 4 and is non-refundable.
• Real Estate Route:
This is an interesting route since Grenada is the only country between the Caribbean neighbors that is located in the south, outside the hurricane belt and so has a low risk of hurricanes. This route is a bit more expensive than the National Transformation Route but only a certain amount is non-refundable. The required investment is USD 220,000 and must be kept for 5 years only. During this time, rental returns can be expected.
