Alexander Phan, MD, MS is a resident physician training in Internal Medicine who is passionate about evidence-based medicine, holistic patient care, and medical education. Prior to medical school, he attended Johns Hopkins University on a full-ride Bloomberg Scholarship studying Molecular and Cellular Biology. Following this, he completed a Master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University. Alexander attended St. George’s University School of Medicine and graduated summa cum laude with distinction in scholarly activity.
At St. George’s University, he received the Morris Alpert Upperclassmen Academic Scholarship Award, was a member of the Iota Epsilon Alpha international honor medical society, and was a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Alex has been recognized for his dedication to medical education and founded @WhiteCoatTutors, where he helps medical students with USMLE and ERAS preparation. Alex has published his research in Cell, PNAS, and JMC. Alex’s current research interests lie in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care.
