Great support is the foundation of our students’ academic success. St. George’s University (SGU) has created a college system for MD program classes that limit students to between 125 and 150 students. That makes the experience similar to a U.S. medical school at a Caribbean medical university.
We understand that the practice of medicine is a lifelong learning experience and our Department of Educational Services plays a critical in helping MD students learn the skills that enable them to become doctors and that they can use for a lifetime of work in medicine.
Part of this learning process is helping MD candidates prepare for the USMLE Step 1 exam through a series of training and testing programs. In 2020, SGU students from 30 countries had a 94% first time pass rate on the USMLE Step 1.
With simulation labs and academic support, SGU will teach you how to become a successful physician. We strive to give our MD students the right tools and help them become the best physician possible.
