For the last three months Tupaia MediTrak has been working with the Vanuatu Ministry of Health to map more than 150 health facilities and interview more than 300 health workers around the country.
Mappers collect information about facilities, services, medicine availability and disaster preparedness. The Tupaia team is also mapping the appropriate treatment of childhood diarrhoea which is the second leading cause of death in children under five years old worldwide.
Information collected at each facility will be used to help the Ministry of Health plan and allocate health resources throughout the country.
